Applying for Student Finance 2017/18

Student Finance is the student support package offered by the Government and is available to most full-time and part-time undergraduate, first degree students who are studying for our M.Ost qualification. A Postgraduate Loan is also available.

The British School of Osteopathy is now a ‘Designated’ institution. So, from the academic year 2016-17 onwards, students eligible for Student Finance will need to apply using the British School of Osteopathy.

Application deadlines

For courses commencing between the 1st August and the 31st December, the first day of the academic year for the course will be the 1st September.

To ensure that funding is in place for the start of your course, students are advised to submit applications for the academic year for which they are applying, no later than the 31st May before the start of the course i.e. For the academic year 2017-18, applications to Student Finance should be submitted by the 31st May 2017.

You can still apply after this date, but your funding assessment may not be ready in time for the start of term in September.

Students who normally live in England should apply online through Student Finance England.

As part of their online application, both new and continuing students should search under the British School of Osteopathy rather than the University of Bedfordshire.
