Centenary Celebrations at the BSO

Fireworks spelling 100

It's been 100 years since the BSO was first founded by Dr John Martin Littlejohn, and during this time the School has established itself as a leading provider of osteopathic education and healthcare, training over 40% of the UK's practicing osteopaths and making a difference to thousands of patients through its clinics.

The school will be marking this significant anniversary with a number of celebrations throughout 2017, including a special reception at St James' Palace with BSO patron HRH Princess Anne in March, and a conference later in the year (more details to follow).

The school is also hosting a Centenary Ball on 24 June 2017 and would like to invite all BSO students, staff and alumni to join us for this celebratory evening of food, drink, awards, music and dancing in the stylish surroundings of the Hilton London Bankside hotel. The event will include:

  • Welcome drinks
  • A delicious three-course meal with wine
  • Our annual Golden Patella awards
  • Music, dancing and entertainment until late

Fourth year student Grace Newman is helping to organise the ball and says:  "The evening promises to be a fantastic occasion, celebrating both the success of the qualifying 4th year students and the prestigious occasion of the centenary. We'd really love as many of the staff and alumni to join us, to help us mark this special occasion in the school's history."

For more information about the ball and to book your tickets visit our Eventbrite page.

Are you a BSO alumnus?

In this centenary year we'd love to hear about your time at the BSO and what it meant to you. If you have any memories you'd like to share, or would just like to let us know what you are doing now, please drop us a tweet/message or send us an email.
