World AIDS Day 2014

World AIDS Day 2014 is on Monday 1st December and is an opportunity for people all over the world to unite in the fight against HIV, to show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. At the British School of Osteopathy we run two weekly clinics specialising in treating patients with HIV and AIDS. The Chapman Clinic runs three times a week in our Southwark-based teaching clinic. We also run a weekly clinic at The Royal Free Hospital’s Ian Charleson Day Centre in north-west London, which is generously supported by the Peter Moores Foundation....(more)

Crisis at Christmas

The British School of Osteopathy is working with the charity Crisis to help them provide medical care over the Christmas period to thousands of homeless people. Crisis are expecting over 4,000 homeless guests in their 10 centres across London over Christmas this year. Over 6,500 people slept rough on the streets of London during 2013/14. This figure has doubled in six years and sadly continues to rise. They have over 8,000 volunteers who provide more than 40 services including healthcare appointments, physiotherapy and alternative healing services....(more)

Changes to appointment prices

From 1st August 2014, our prices will be changing. The BSO is a registered charity and we are committed to providing affordable osteopathic care for the community. As such, our appointments are 30-80% cheaper than other private London osteopaths. The money we raise from clinic and donations also goes towards running clinics for vulnerable people in London, including people with HIV/AIDS, pregnant women, children, and the homeless....(more)

Fresh paint for the clinic thanks to Barclays London Bridge

On Friday 4th April, employees from Barclays London Bridge will be swapping their suits for overalls to paint some of the treatment rooms in the BSO Clinic. The team have kindly volunteered to paint five of the treatment rooms in our Southwark Bridge Road clinic on Friday. They have also generously provided the BSO with a grant to cover the cost of any materials, which is very much appreciated. ...(more)
