Studying at the BSO: Rose's autumn term

I started studying Osteopathy at the BSO in 2010 on the Mixed Mode pathway. I had previously studied Geography and African Studies at Birmingham University and worked in a small healthcare charity in London. After working on a project with GPs, I began to yearn to work in healthcare. I was also visiting my Osteopath at the time for a bad back. I couldn’t see myself staying in my job and had nowhere to move up in the organization so was looking at the options. I decided to try a year of studying osteopathy to see whether it was the right kind of career for me, and here I am 3 ½ years later!...(more)

Christmas Opening Hours 2013

The clinic will be shut during this year’s Christmas period. On Christmas Eve, the clinic will close at 4pm. The last appointment slot for new patients will be at 2.40pm and the last appointment for continuing patients will be 3.20pm. The clinic will re-open on Thursday 2nd January 2014. If you would like to book an appointment whilst the clinic is closed, please email and our reception team will respond in the new year. The evening clinic is open on 23rd December and then closed until the 2nd January 2014. We would like to wish all our patients, students and staff a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!...(more)

Graduation 2013

Yesterday, nearly one hundred new osteopaths and twenty postgraduates received their degrees in the spectacular surroundings of Methodist Central Hall. Located in the shadow of Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliaments, Central Hall is one of London's iconic venues and an apt place to celebrate the many academic and personal achievements of our graduands. The ceremony was overseen by HRH The Princess Royal, John Lant, Chairman of the Board, Charles Hunt, Principal of the BSO, and Bill Rammell, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bedfordshire all of whom spoke of the excitement, opportunities and challenges of being a new graduate....(more)
